Number of Single Family Homes Homes Sold in Fairfield is Essentially Flat vs. Last Year. Median Price for Single Family Homes in Fairfield Drops.

About the same amount of single family homes were sold in April, 2018 vs. April 2017.  However, the median price was down by 9%.  The median price of a single family homes sold in Fairfield in April, 2018 was $525,500 vs. April, 2017's median price of $615,000. 

The market here in Fairfield continues to show that homes in the lower price point are selling more vigorously.  In every price point, however, sold prices are down.  The greatest impact on our market in Fairfield has been the devaluating of larger, higher priced homes, on larger lots.

A bright spot in our market is that homes are selling faster than they did at this time last year.  Average days on market has dropped from 113 to 99 days.  

The percentage of list price to sold price is 95%. This number remains consistent.
