What a year it has been! It's time to raise a glass and celebrate some achievements in real estate.
Feeling reflective, we are looking back at the many successes and growth William Pitt Sotheby's and the Judy Mitchell Group have experienced over the last 12 months. Real estate is an ever-changing industry and in 2017 we work hard to stay to in front of the curve to offer the best sales and service to our clients and our community.
In 2017 our brokerage, William Pitt Sotheby's, secured the headlining billboard ad position at the very top of The New York Times Real Estate section homepage, showcasing our sellers's listings to the Times’ vast readership. Our prominently positioned ad appeared throughout March, April, June and October this year at a minimum of one of every four times a user visited the page. The ad came complete with our own exclusive property search engine, allowing users to search all company listings—and only our company’s listings—right from the top of NYTimes.com/realestate.
William Pitt International Realty announced several awards for its website design and layout by the trusted real estate news source REAL Trends, including No. 1 Best Design in the country, No. 2 Best Overall Website and No. 2 in Property Detail Pages.
The Judy Mitchell Group also debuted its new website which features neighborhood information, and we have a place to blog about what is happening in our local market and more. It's a great resource for buyers and sellers in Fairfield.
We had a tremendous year of sales within the brokerage setting records in Connecticut. In the Judy Mitchell Group, we broke our own record with $13M in sales this year selling across all price points, helping buyers and sellers achieve their goals.
This year Judy Mitchell and Lisa Damp attended an annual training and networking event in Las Vegas. We continue to network across the country developing relationships with professional real estate agents in every state to better serve our clients moving into and out of Connecticut.
It is a priority for us to invest in sharpening our sales skills and staying current with national real estate trends.
We also network with our local business owners locally, as active members of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
This year we aggressively used all digital platforms to advertise our clients' listings. Our exclusive digital marketing platform sends regular email blasts to current clients and prospective buyers. We also employ a strong strategy for social media advertising to help our sellers expose their properties to right buyers. Make sure you follow our Facebook page, @judymitchellgroup. We are LIVE every week with market info, and a first look at new properties as they hit the market.
We hosted a free Hot Cocoa Giveaway in Fairfield on December 7th during the Fairfield Winter Shop & Stroll, giving back to the people of Fairfied for such a wonderful year. One lucky winner took a home a $500 Visa Gift Card as we offered a free sweepstakes at the event.
As we close the chapter on 2017, we are grateful and fortunate to help our clients move forward with buying and selling real estate. Together with our firm, we look forward to what’s ahead in 2018.
